Third Grade - Mrs. Eberhardt

Classroom News

Week 32 April 23 - April 26 - Monday, April 22, 2019

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and is ready for this week. This week is action packed!

We won't be reading a story this week. However, we will be reading a couple short stories in our Storyworks Jr. Magazine. We will be reading about the History of Pizza on Tuesday and Space on Wednesday. We will be focusing on text features, setting of a story, and similes.

We will not have spelling words this week. Students would not get adequate time to study with the Spring Sing on Thursday Night and then the Jog-A-Long on Friday.

We will start Module 6 in Math. This is a short module dealing with creating and reading graphs.

Hopefully all students worked on their History Fair Project during the long weekend. Students should be finished with their rough drafts by this Friday!

We have a couple important events this week!  The Spring Sing in Thursday night. Please have your student at the Wilson Theater by 6:45 dressed in their Sunday Best!

Jog-A-Long is this Friday.  Packets need to be turned in Wednesday as well as permission slips (I currently only have 2). The preschool also holds their Goodie Sale on Friday, so don't forget to send in $3-$5 with your students if they would like the purchase some things. They may also bring in pillows and blankets for movie afternoon.

Tests and Quizzes for the Week

Favorite Bible Verse: '"I am the Alpha and the Omega,' says the Lord God, who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8

I am privileged to work at St. Nicholas Catholic School. This school shaped me as a child and now I have the opportunity to teach young students that walk through our doors. I have a passion for reading and try to help all children find that joy within themselves. St. Nicholas is a family and I am proud to be a part of that!
