Second Grade - Mrs. Packham

Classroom News

Update for November 12, 2017

Thanks to all you parents who made the Gala such a big success!  Your willingness to be involved makes such a difference.  Thank you to Mrs. and Mrs. Villicana for purchasing our second grade project.  What a great family!

This is the last week before the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Monday and Tuesday there is no bussing.  Parents please make arrangements travel arrangements if your student rides a bus.

This Wednesday our second grade hosts Mass.  We greet at the doors, welcome the congregation and thank them for coming, and bring the gifts.  Please join us if you can.  We love to have our parents with us.  We would love to have you come sit with us as well.

Book orders were made Saturday and will hopefully be here by Friday.

We have been working on our "turkey stories".  These have been so entertaining.  Can't wait to see them completed, illustrations and all.  We will be reading them to the lower grades the end of the week.

It is the Thanksgiving Season.  Please know that I am grateful for each of my second grade students.  I am so thankful to you for sharing them with me.  I love each one.

Please have a wonderful week and then have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.  May God Bless You!

Favorite Bible Verse:  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid."  John 14:29

My faith in God is and has always been the foundation in my life.  I believe God wants us to grow and to learn.  What an opportunity to be able to teach at a wonderful school like St. Nicholas where I can help children know how important they are to God as part of their education.
