Classroom News! - Tuesday, September 19, 2017

St. Nicholas will be participating in Operation Christmas Child. We will collect "school supplies" to send to Samaritan's Purse to be put into the Christmas Shoeboxes during the last week of September (9/25-9/29).  Preschool are asked to bring in any of the following: coloring books, crayons, markers, pencils erasers, and sharpeners

Please check snack calendars!  I also have it posted in the classroom.  Remember it counts towards volunteer hours as well.

This week we are learning about the letter Aa!  We will being doing a science experiment with apples at the end of the week.

We've added counting objects to the number 3 and the kids would really benefit from practice at home.  The new chant for counting to 3 is

1, 2, 3
Count with Me
1, 2, 3
Tap with Me (tap on hand for each number)
1, 2, 3
Clap with Me (clap with each number)
1, 2, 3
Jump with Me (jump with each number)
1, 2, 3
Count with Me

I also have a few volunteer opportunities that I will send out an email about!

Favorite Bible Verse:  "I am the Alpha and the Omega.  the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Revelations 22:13

I attended St. Nicholas in my youth and have wonderful memories from my time here.  When it came time to think about rejoining the work force after being a stay at home mom, I decided I wanted to work with children again.  St. Nicholas was my first choice because of my previous connections with the school.  It was the right decision and I am happy to be part of the staff.
