Week 20

Time is flying here at St. Nicholas.  We are working hard on some great writing this week and are looking forward to sharing it with you next week during Catholic School's week!  We are working on long division in math and I am proud to report that we are understanding the concept and have had not tears (even from me)!  We are reading a story about a famous American Astronomer and clock maker, Benjamin Benneker.  We are also beginning our unit on Lewis and Clark in Idaho History.  It's a great time to be in fourth grade!

Several permission slips are headed home this week to get ready for Catholic Schools Week:

We will also dismiss this week on Thursday at 1:00 and will not have school on Friday.  We will have parent teacher conferences on Thursday afternoon and other times as needed.

Progress reports will be sent home on Tuesday, January 22.  If I needed to meet with you I have contacted you.  If you would like to meet with me, please let me know.

Favorite Bible Verse:  "Choose you this day whom you will serve.... But as for me and my house, we will serve The Lord." Joshua 24:15

I am blessed for the opportunity to bring God into my classroom at St. Nicholas.  I believe that all children have God-given potential and I love to work with students and families to reach that potential.  I am excited to form an educational team with students, parents and teachers to enhance children's education at St. Nicholas and assist in setting up students for success in their future.
